The Reality of Egg Quantity and Quality in IVF Cycles
Typically, each cycle only has a few good eggs available with the potential to develop into a baby. In other words, unless you are very young, healthy, and one of the fortunate ones to have many excellent quality embryos which are destined to become healthy delivered babys, whether you ended up with 4 eggs or 40 eggs from an in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer cycle, the number of viable embryos with this ability is usually only a few. Another way of stating the same is that you can not steal or develop eggs from a future cycle or from past groups of eggs, only what were recruited for that particular cycle 2 months earlier.
